He exhibited in 2008, part of the collection VOLKSWAGEN 1 / 18, 1 / 24, 1 / 43.
July 18, 2008 .- Dear colleagues worldwide volchero Guild: my passion for the Volkswagen sedan, among other ways has led me to form a collection of scales, which by the way at this time I am doing 11 years formed and before the thrill of sharing my love for this hobby and make it known as a good collection. In early 2007 I was determined to organize an event where I could show my Volkswagen. So I started researching what was required to carry out my new project and after receiving information from here and there, it happened that in my search for details on the web I found that IX had just celebrated the Static Modelling Competition 2007 Veracruz (MEXICO), this being the city where I live for about 17 years, and could not believe that in this beautiful port jarocho was realized the type of event that I was to organize. So I decided to approach the organizers of the event, since they had the experience ..... and what better to learn from them! and since December of 2007 I began to contact some of its members to talk about my concerns and projects and did not hesitate to invite me to their workshops and meetings, as they are open people and want the people interested in this hobby of model static learn and carrying their knowledge to strengthen the group daily.
Well, I attended his workshop and I was surprised because the people who form the board of the group is an enviable warmth and if we add his talent, knowledge, culture, etc ..., you can imagine they are truly wonderful people, so from that moment I tried to attend regularly because of my family commitments. I also expressed my feelings to exhibit my models from Volkswagen and was immediately accepted my proposal, because although the model practice is to assemble this group, paste, corrections, paint, polish, elaborate pieces, etc, etc, it still to be static modeling as I practice. The difference is that the modelimo I practice is considered as commercial and thus define the differences of models:
• The conversion models are those that have been substantially modified on the outside and have been made by the modeler.
• Conversions made with commercial equipment designed for this purpose enter into the regular categories.
In the end everything is welcome modelimo and found shelter for my project will take place, after waiting for almost 6 months, 2 days to exhibit the Volkswagen, began an arduous work of preparing the models to display, this is eminently desgastente because you have to choose which models would, make a list (inventory), make models of their cardboard boxes, unscrew the plastic base accommodated in the container transport to the event which includes the immobilization material during handling container, prepare the accessories of the stage of the display tables, even the clothes he was going to use those days.
The big day arrived and is day to work hard, heavy, stressful and delicate, because you have to place the scenery of the tables and go pulling Volkswagen model by model with all the care for it for damage of any kind as to enable be the most common: broken mirrors, defense, suspension, antennas, etc. It is also necessary to handle with gloves VW models to not leave fingerprints on the glass, as the reflection of light from the lamps are hideous!.
When the time and especially what I call "A super-stress time," is when young children are hacerca to display tables and their parents are about 5 or 6 meters a child ...... panics! and by nature the children try to touch or take any model in their hands, are recharged on the table and unintentionally walk the cloth and thus a model can be dragged to the floor (something like into the abyss).
After the event, will begin the next stage of work is to collect the scales vice versa, take home, review damage, accommodate them in their boxes, etc, etc, etc ... uuuuuufffffffffff! much work that is not seen!
Then ask if the lead as 125 pieces at this time, more material of scenery is so tedious: why so much work? So does it really worth it? Of course it's worth, the giving part of yourself known as a collector and faseta good to hear comments from people like: It is an explosion of color!, "All this shows what one person?, Mom : looks like the car you had!, and especially the tone of the people when he says: This is simply impresionanete!, Ahh ... that good taste!. Especially when people who participated as contestants and who are experts in modeling, have a beauty of automobiles with qualities of painting as a fresh out of real car manufacturer says, "Congratulations, your collection is very impressive! !
