My wife and I just returned from a trip to Ireland.. It was awesome! Of course, she forced me to look for toys while we were travelling.. (No, really)... It was a pretty tough job. The big cities had some toy_stores (like Hamleys), but everywhere else it was really hit and miss... (Although I probably didn't know the right stores to search for). Many of the souvenir stores had diecast, but mostly 1/87 scale. In the smaller toy stores and shops, Siku was the main brand.. I didn't see many HW or MB. While travelling through one of the towns, we saw a Car Boot sale (no, there weren't selling boots.. ). The mini is a Corgi. Best deal of the trip - I got them all for a pound.. Some off-brand transports. How could I resist a truck with my name on it?? ;D Tesco is one of the large grocery store chains... Quite a mix here.. I thought the pulling tractor was pretty cool... This set was from a souvenir store - made by Oxford Diecast.
